How to turn photos into a PDF, merge PDFs and extract pages

Use the PDF workspace to turn photos into an image-based PDF, combine existing PDFs, or extract selected pages in a chosen order. Choose the workflow that matches your source files, adjust its settings and download the result. Processing stays in the browser. Photo adjustments are manual, and the output has no QBMFX watermark; your own optional branding and page numbers are separate choices.

Choose photos or capture a page

For a photo document, select JPG, PNG or WebP files. The separate capture input can open a camera on supported mobile browsers. Other devices may show a file picker instead. Capture behavior depends on the browser and device, so keep saved photos available if direct capture does not work. Unsupported formats are skipped rather than converted through an external service.

Each photo appears with its own adjustments. Use the up and down buttons to arrange pages; there is no drag-to-reorder control. Remove unwanted images before creating the document. The originals on your device remain unchanged because the tool builds a new PDF. Review the sequence carefully when documents contain similar-looking pages or receipts.

Make manual scan adjustments

Rotate in 90-degree steps, crop each edge by a percentage, and adjust brightness, contrast or grayscale. For example, cropping 5 percent from the left and right removes those strips from the selected photo. This is a rectangular trim, not perspective correction. If a page was photographed at an angle, the tool does not automatically find its corners or straighten the document into a rectangle.

Keep enough margin around text when cropping. A preview can help you judge the adjustment, but inspect the final PDF too. Photos are converted into JPEG renditions with the longest side limited to 2400 pixels. This makes a PDF page from the photo; it does not recognize letters, create selectable text or restore detail that the camera did not capture.

Worked example: a branded three-page document

Suppose you have three photos of a delivery note. Place them in reading order with the arrow buttons, rotate the second photo if necessary, and choose A4 portrait. Set a 12 mm margin, enter Delivery note in the header, add a PNG or JPG logo and leave page numbers enabled. Create the PDF, then check that it contains three pages in the intended order and that no text was clipped by your crops.

A4, US Letter and Fit image at 96 DPI are available page sizes. Portrait and landscape apply to the standard paper sizes; the image-sized option follows the processed photo dimensions. Header, footer, logo and numbering reserve space around the image. Branding text currently accepts ASCII/Latin text only, so do not enter an Urdu heading expecting an embedded Urdu font.

Merge existing PDFs in the right sequence

Select PDF documents under Merge PDFs. The displayed file order determines the output order; use the arrows to change it or remove a file. If one document has two pages and the next has three, merging them produces five pages in that sequence. Keep originals, and review the combined document before sending it. Encrypted or damaged files are not a supported input.

Worked example: extract and reorder pages

For a five-page PDF, entering 1,3-5,2 produces pages 1, 3, 4, 5 and 2, in that order. This both selects and reorders pages. A list such as 2,2,1 repeats page 2 before page 1. Use page positions in the file, not a printed page number inside its artwork. Page zero, out-of-range values and descending ranges such as 5-3 are rejected.

Extraction is useful when a recipient needs only part of a document, but it is not a secure redaction process. If sensitive content remains on a selected page, selecting that page does not remove it. Inspect the result and retain an untouched original for your own records.

Frequently asked questions

Can I make a PDF from phone photos?

Yes. On supported mobile browsers you can capture a page with the camera input, or choose photos already on your device, then crop, adjust and reorder them before creating the PDF.

How do I extract specific pages from a PDF?

Enter a page list such as 1,3-5,2. The pages are extracted in the order you list them.

Does it compress PDFs or run OCR?

No. There is no general PDF compression, no OCR and no PDF-to-Word conversion in this release.

Is there a watermark?

No. Header, footer and logo are only what you choose to add.
